Production and post, structured around delivery

Movie
Financing

Production and post-production funding for Tamil and regional cinema, structured around delivery rather than hope. Film finance has a reputation it has largely earned, and we lend into it with our eyes open.

How we structure it

Facilities are built against contracted rights — theatrical, satellite, digital — and released against production milestones, with the recovery route agreed before the first rupee moves. We would rather decline a project than fund one where nobody can explain how the money comes back.

What we will not do

We do not fund on the strength of a star name alone, we do not fund projects without contracted rights, and we do not fund gaps created by someone else withdrawing. Those are the three ways film finance goes wrong.

Who can apply

  • Contracted rights in place
  • Completion plan with realistic milestones
  • Producer with a delivery record
  • Adequate collateral

What to bring

  • Rights agreements — theatrical, satellite, digital
  • Budget and schedule
  • Producer financials and track record
  • Chain of title for the script
  • Completion bond, where applicable

Common questions

Will you fund a first-time producer?

Rarely on rights alone, but yes where collateral supports it.

Do you take a share of profits?

[State your position — profit participation versus straight interest.]
